Rara Lake has been a popular destination in Western Nepal for trekkers. The lake is situated in high altitude and it is surrounded by Rara National Park’s forest of pine and Juniper. Rara is the biggest lake of Nepal. Murma Top is another attraction for the trekkers, from where one can view Rara lake and some mountain ranges. It will be a nice day hike to this place from Rara.

Outline Itinerary

  • Day 1:Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (55min flight). stay at hotel siddharth (3star) in MAP basis with airport pick up and drop
  • Day 2:Nepalgunj to Talcha (45min flight) – then trek to Rara 3 hrs walk.
  • Day 3:Rara (2800m) to Murma Top day hike
  • Day 4:Rara - Trekking around the lake (1st half)
  • Day 5:Rara - Boating in the lake (if interested) Trekking around the lake (2nd half)
  • Day 6:Rara to Talcha (After lunch) 3 hrs. Walk.
  • Day 7:Talcha to Nepalgunj flight and Nepalgunj to Kathmandu flight
