One can get into Dolpo by following routes and options.

Route - 1. By plane that saves time
Kathmandu – Nepalgunj – 55min. by plane and 10 to 15 min. drive to the hotel and stay one night in Nepalgunj and can take the morning flight next day drive to the airport early morning for 10 to 15 min. Nepalgunj – Juphal - 2475m (Dolpo airport) 35min. Flight.
Kathmandu – Nepalgunj 55 min. by morning flight then Nepalgunj - Jumla- 2540 m. 35 min. by afternoon flight. Then trek from Jumla and enter Dolpo crossing a pass Maure Lagna 3894m. pass the border of two districts.
Kathmandu – Pokahara 30 min flight, one night stay in Pokhara the next day Pokhara - Jomsom-2720m – 17m flight. Then start the trek crossing Jungben La 5550m. pass enters Dolpo.
Kathmandu – Nepalgunj – afternoon flight night stay in Nepalgunj then fly to Talcha (45 min)next day morning. Then trek to Gamgadi via Rara lake and then to Upper Dolpo via Pho village.

Route – 2. By bus or small vehicles:
It takes nearly 14 hrs by bus / 8to 9hrs in small vehicles From Kathmandu to Kathmandu Jumla via Surkhet 24 hrs. From Jumla trek to Dolpo via Dailekh and Kalikot.
Kathmandu – Nepalgunj – Rimna (Jajarkot) by bus and then to Talubagar via Rari by small vehicle and then trek to Dunai (3days).

Route - 3 By plane or drive
Kathmandu – Pokhara by plane or drive - Pokhara to Beni 4 to 5hrs drive. Beni to Takam 5-6 hours drive on a vehicle. Then the trek begins for Dunai the head quarters of Dolpo district via Dhorpatan the Hunting reserve – 10 days.

Route - 4 By bus or small vehicles
By bus or small vehicles, it takes nearly 14hrs by bus / 8 to 9hrs in small vehicles From Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. One night stay in hotel at Nepalgunj, then taking early morning flight to Juphal the next day will reach Dolpo.
