Trek to remote lands of Dolpo-fantastic landscapes and varied trekking

The biggest district of Nepal, Dolpo is inhabited by almost 30,000 Dolponians. The Wild West district of Karnali Zone in north-west Nepal flanks the border to Autonomous Region of China, Tibet. Hence there are speculations that part of Dolpo is in Tibet and vice versa. The region is extreme wild where the signs of modernity are hundreds of miles away. The Dolponians dwell in about 24 highland hamlets sprinkled distant away to each other in 500 sq. miles area. The major settlements of Dolpo include villages like Namgang, Panzgang, Tarap and Chharbung. Few Dolponians live in Dhaulagiri Region. Most of the hamlets in Dolpo lie between the elevations of 3600m to 4700m.

Very recently Vikki from USA trekked to Dolpo with us. She thanked us with the beautiful mail below after she reached her home in the US.

“Hi Explore Dolpo,

Great to hear from you. Of course I am happy to write some comments on the trek. We had a fantastic time.

We have just returned from a fantastic 3 week holiday with your trekking agency. The remote lands of Dolpa welcomed us with fantastic landscape and varied trekking. Our guide spoke the local language, fluent English, was knowledgeable about the area and was always willing to help. The porters were friendly, hard-working and great cooks. I was extremely satisfied with the service provided by the agency. They even helped to find us a helicopter to replace our postponed flight.

Really happy with the trek overall and would highly recommend your company to others.”
